I'm always saying how I'll try to post more and how that "this" journal will be the turning point in my art submission, but it never works out that way does it?

So a little bit to update...
I have a second job now, I'm not sure if I've mentioned this earlier in the year, but I do (one of which I have an overnight tonight 11-7 and I'm hoping I can do it since this is my first overnight and I haven't slept much the last few days, but if high school me can do it, I'm sure I can). I have it mainly because I want more income to save for a future house and my current job isn't yielding enough for me to do so.
I got Dragon Age Inquisition and love it unconditionally so I'm sure you'll be seeing some DAI related pieces in the future. I'm absolutely obsessed and I really shouldn't get into it because this entry will turn into a novel.
I now have my very own Xbox and I finally upgraded to a flat screen television instead of the tube tvs that have aided me my entire life (I feel so grown up).
Christmas was pleasant and I hope everyone had a pleasant holiday as well and here's hoping your New Years is fabulous!

Those things being said, in the New Year I am for sure planning on releasing more Alhan: Return of the Gods, and might even be having an illustrator along side, so coloured comics! I already have started on pages again and even if I don't have an illustrator, I'm aiming for the end of January for weekly page releases.

Thanks everyone for sticking around, it means so much to me that you did
Happy New Years!

In honor of deviantART's 14th birthday, I decided to join of community members in writing journals this day!

I first joined deviantART 7 years ago as of August 21st, which makes me quite happy that I've been with this site for half it's life. I was turning 15 that fall and I can't even remember how I came across this site, just that I instantly fell in love with it.
I've always loved art. As early as I can remember I enjoyed it and was inspired by it. When I first met an old friend of mine back when I was 6 years old, I recall loving her art style and wishing I could be as good as she was. I believe that was the first tipping point to my journey as an artist. I started practicing more and more and developing my own style. My mum sent me to summer art courses and during the school year I attended anime drawing classes. I won an art award in both grade school and high school. So, one can imagine, when I found deviantART how happy I was that I did find it.
A community full of thousands upon thousands of other artists. Thousands of galleries to inspire and millions of beautiful art pieces -art heaven, for me at least.
I have used deviantART as a place for me to develop as an artist. I've displayed art on here for myself and for anyone else willing to look. I like that I can browse on here and see how I've grown without having to dig through boxes and boxes of old sketch books. I like that this community -in my experience- has been so kind and helpful. I've brought a handful of fellow artists here and I've also met many who I was thrilled to find out that they have an account here. I'm not sure where I'm going, but I'm glad I came here to just watch it happen.  And I'm so excited to see where I go.

Happy Birthday deviantART

My cat got jealous of me watching Naruto on my laptop one day and nudged it off the bed. The touch screen cracked clean across, which made doing anything extremely difficult. So I wandered around for a month or so trying to find a local place that could fix it to no avail. Ended up sending it back to the manufacturer to get the screen replaced and got it  back; now I fear for my laptops life.

Anyway, back in May I went on a trip to England and it was WONDERFUL. I went by myself, and I definitely recommend to everyone you have to at least travel on your own once in your lifetime. I met interesting characters and basked in the lovely accents and had awesome adventures in the mere week I was there. I need to return there again and again in the years to come. I loved it there. I loved the architecture and I loved the history and the food and the people and -of course- the art.
I got to see a couple galleries while I was there, one of them being the National Gallery and I was brought nearly to tears when I stood in front of Van Gogh's Sunflowers. He's my most favourite artist and to be so close to such a famous piece of his was absolutely amazing. I spent around 6 hours in that gallery, listening to my audio tour and learning and just being completely inspired. There were so many artists just sitting in the gallery recreating famous pieces and artwork that they liked on canvas or simply sketching them out in their sketchbooks and I want to return one day to do the same. It felt like a pilgrimage for my artistic side.
(I also got to she Shakespeare's Globe that was a total pilgrimage for my acting side and it brought back the memories of my acting days and I decided I needed to return to the Globe one day too to see a play there).

I've also just returned from a convention weekend where I got to get my pictures taken and wandered the dealers room and artists alley and did a panel and attended panels and it was quite wonderful too. I have been simply preoccupied with a wonderful, adventurous year this year and I've been sketching and painting quite a bit, however I have not been posting anything as I somehow forgot I was part of this community.
But I have returned and hopefully I can get my tablet wire not to hate me so I can return to writing Alhan: Return of the Gods, which I miss dearly, and show you other art and so forth.

I hope everyone is having a swell day and hope your week is lovely!

But not really...

No joke, within the week that I wrote my last journal entry my computer kind of died. I now have a new computer on which my uncle transferred HOPEFULLY all my things.
UNFORTUNATELY, a lot of information and story-boarding on documents are very messed up and I need to purchase or download a free better document reader because I can't properly get through documents at the moment. IF ANYONE KNOWS GOOD FREE DOCUMENT PROGRAMS PLEASE LET ME KNOW.
I also need to reinstall my tablet programs to start making new pages. I will be sticking to what I said before and aim for 1 page a week until I can return to my old posting habits. I'm so sorry for all the shenanigans.

ANYWAYS, thank you all for being so patient and I hope all of you had a wonderful Christmas and  Happy New Year.

I'm ALIVE

3 min read
Hello everyone!

So sorry for the four month hiatus! I went through some stuff then work started to pick up, BUT now I'm back-ish...
I have such a terrible tendancy to just disappear on you guys and I'm so thankful that you've stuck around.

A few updates, I won a $2000 travel voucher which I intend to use on traveling to England in the Spring; I got a Gallifreyan tattoo in honour of the 50th Anniversary of Doctor Who coming up (so stoked); aannnnddddd I got really into cosplaying.

Anyways, hopefully, and slowly, I will be uploading new pages for Alhan: Return of the Gods (I'm going to aim for one a week for now, sorry) and other artwork of mine.

Love you all so much!
Mosse
